Firstly Included in the name North America, are the countries that make up what is actually known as central America. One of the key advantages of looking for work in North America is the fact that the majority of more then five hundred people there speak the same language, English. South America

Almost all of the countries in South America are Spanish speaking, the biggest exception being the Portuguese speaking Brazil. South America has a population of nearly four hundred million people, and an average unemployment rate of 8.2% in 2009 according to Reuters.Brazil has the largest economy in South America and is a part of the acronym BRIC that refers to the four fastest growing economies in the world (the others being Russia, India and China). The Brazilianeconomy is largely focused on exports, and because of this there is huge demand for labourers in the country. Tourism is another growing industry in South America and provides countless opportunities for jobhunters across the country, particularly those interested in voluntary work.
