Oceania is made up of 14 independent
countries, the biggest of which is Australia by some distance.
Other then Australia and New Zealand the rest of the continent
consists of relatively small island states. Although there are many
indigenous languages spoken in Oceania, English is spoken throughout
the region, and is the official language of most countries, including
Australia and New Zealand. For obvious reasons one of the biggest
industries in the area is tourism, with many young people choosing to
travel in that area. Whilst there are many fantastic opportunities
for people interested in volunteering, traveling and doing temporary
work during short terms stays, Oceania has the smallest economy of
all the continents and permanent professional opportunities might be
hard to come by.
